All About Me

Family

I currently have a dog and a cat and live near my brother! I visit my hometown and my parents often. My family is incredibly important to me, and have supported me for more than I will ever know.

What do I do in the summer?

Through the summer I work as a full time camp director for a small camp I've been going to since I was 8 years old. Here's an old photo of when I was a counselor there! Through the summer I also attend professional development opportunities, and prepare for the next year's work.

Educational Background

I attended Western Michigan University, where I double majored in Business Education and English Secondary Education. While at Western I was an RA, played piccolo in the Bronco Marching Band, participated in NCTE, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota.

Other Groups!

I also work with other teachers, and I am the DECA advisor! I attend professional development as often as I can, and aim to give students an opportunity to join a group that can really impact their future. These groups influenced my career and my personality immensly, and so I aim to give student that opportunity.
